What do the labels on each card mean?

U+1D400 The Unicode codepoint the style's characters come from. Two styles can look almost identical and still be different characters with different device support. The codepoint is the only reliable way to tell which one you copied.

IGTTRB Platform support. Green renders reliably. Amber works, but breaks on some devices or in some fields. Struck through is filtered out or rejected by that platform.

Ready-made combos

The same style inside each frame. Type above and these update with it, then tap to copy the whole thing. The number is the character count, which matters if you are pasting into a field with a limit.

Heavy glitch doubles the number of marks stacked on each letter, from six to twelve. The result is denser and taller, and it fails in more places.

It exists because the standard version reads as too subtle for some uses, particularly gaming tags and horror-adjacent aesthetics where the point is that the text looks broken.

Where it works, and where it breaks

Twelve marks per letter means a ten-character name becomes roughly a hundred and thirty characters. There is no platform bio it fits comfortably and no gaming nickname limit it fits at all.

The practical use is short strings. Two or three letters carry the effect without exhausting a character budget, which is why heavy glitch turns up in clan tags rather than in bios.

Rendering is worse than standard glitch by the same margin the mark count suggests. A tall stack is more likely to be clipped, more likely to overlap the line above, and more likely to be truncated by an app that caps combining sequences. Expect it to look different everywhere.

As with every combining style, your original letters remain underneath, so the text stays searchable even when it is unreadable.

Where it works

Two or three characters. That is the honest answer.

At twelve marks per letter, a ten-character name runs to roughly a hundred and thirty characters, which exhausts an Instagram bio and will not fit any gaming nickname field at all. A short tag carries the effect without the cost, which is why heavy glitch appears in clan tags and almost never in bios.

Expect it to render differently everywhere. A taller stack is more likely to overlap the line above, more likely to be clipped, and more likely to be truncated by an app that caps combining sequences.

Common questions

When should I use heavy rather than standard?

Short strings only. Two or three characters carry the effect without exhausting a budget, which is why it suits a clan tag and not a bio.

Why does it overlap the text above it?

Marks stack upward without limit and line height does not grow to accommodate them. Most apps let the stack overflow into whatever is above, which is the effect working as designed rather than breaking.
