Monochrome, not emoji

None of these are emoji. They take the colour of the text around them, which means they follow a dark theme instead of fighting it. That is usually what you want in a profile, and it is the main reason to prefer the text characters over the emoji zodiac versions some keyboards offer.

Reading them

The glyphs are the traditional astrological forms rather than pictures, so Scorpio is a stylised letter with a barbed tail rather than a scorpion. Anyone familiar with the signs recognises them instantly; anyone not may need the name alongside.
