Username font generator, styled handles
What do the labels on each card mean?
U+1D400 The Unicode codepoint the style's characters come from. Two styles can look almost identical and still be different characters with different device support. The codepoint is the only reliable way to tell which one you copied.
IGTTRB Platform support. Green renders reliably. Amber works, but breaks on some devices or in some fields. Struck through is filtered out or rejected by that platform.

The same style inside each frame. Type above and these update with it, then tap to copy the whole thing. The number is the character count, which matters if you are pasting into a field with a limit.
The short answer is that almost no platform accepts styled characters in a username, and the ones that appear to are actually accepting them somewhere else. This catches people out constantly, because the two fields sit next to each other in every settings screen and look like variations of the same thing. They are not.

How to use it
Almost every platform separates an identifier from a display name. The identifier, your @handle, is plain by design, because it has to work in a URL, be typed by other people, and match reliably in a search. The display name is cosmetic and accepts far more. Compose your styled text here and paste it into the display name; the handle beneath it will refuse it, and on the platforms with change cooldowns you do not want to discover that by trying.
Common questions
Which platforms allow styled usernames?
Effectively none of the major ones. Instagram allows letters, numbers, periods and underscores. TikTok the same, at 2 to 24 characters. X allows letters, numbers and underscores only, at 4 to 15. Roblox allows letters, numbers and a single underscore. In every case the display name is the field that takes styled text.
Why are handles restricted at all?
Because they are infrastructure. A handle appears in a URL, gets typed by other people, and has to match exactly in a search. Allowing characters that look identical but are not would make impersonation trivial and searching unreliable.
What do I lose by styling my display name?
Searchability, mainly. A styled name is a different string from the plain one someone types when looking for you, so it will not match. Since the handle has to stay plain anyway, that is usually where people keep the searchable version.
Does capitalisation give me a different handle?
No, on most platforms. Instagram, TikTok and Roblox all treat handles as case-insensitive and store them lowercase, so you cannot claim a variation of a taken handle by capitalising it differently. The capitals you see on some profiles come from the display name field, not the handle.
